We found a few good people to run for offices. Now it’s your turn to make your choices known. Ballots must be postmarked by Jan 18 and received by January 19, 2013. The new board will be introduced at the Holiday Party on January 20.
You can snail mail or email your completed ballots to the Election Committee (see bottom of ballot, page 1)
We’re looking for a few good men and women to help our chapter. That’s right, annual elections for the Los Angeles Chapter’s Board of Directors are happening now and we think you should run for office.
Do you love getting up early to have a chance to run in an autocross? Do you enjoy the thrill of participating in one of our excellent Driving Schools? Do you get excited at the prospect of attending the VDC tour so see the all the latest BMW right off the boat? Have you spent an exhilarating day at an autocross? Have you learned how to remove swirls and scratches from your cars paint at a tech session? Have you had found the perfect place to have those pesky door dings removed from an encounter with a rogue shopping cart?
Well, all of these events are planned and organized by your all-volunteer Board of Directors. We are looking for folks who are interested in getting involved on a regular basis to become new board members. Many existing board members have been in their positions for several years and some need to shift their time commitments to other aspects of their lives. It’s a great time and very satisfying to come on board to make a difference in your club! As a Board Member, you get to vote to make changes and be heard on issues that are important to you.
You can find a list of open positions with job descriptions AND the nominating form at the top of the Forms/Document page.
No stranger to the Los Angeles Chapter Autocross events, and an active BMW CCA Pacific Region Instructor, Tristan Littlehale won the 2012 SCCA National Street Touring Ultra class. Tristan took the rookie win in his two-wheel drive BMW M3 E36; beating a field of SCCA veterans campaigning four-wheel drive Mitsubishi Evos and Subaru STIs, shocking the SCCA Autocross community. Way to go Tristan!
Long over due, we have finally put together a new site. I guess we have just been too busy with Autocross, Driving Schools and enjoying our BMWs. With the help of WordPress, we have a site that is much easier to update and keep fresh. Hopefully you will find it more useful than our old site. Here you will find a new calendar, a place to share your photos and Youtube videos and information on our new Neighborhood program. Please check it all out.
